The administrative delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s mission to the 6th Asian Beach Games has reviewed final preparations ahead of the event, set to take place in Sanya, China, from 22 to 30 April 2026.
The delegation held its third meeting via video conference, chaired by Head of Delegation Mr Ahmed Mohammed Abdulghaffar, to assess readiness and ensure all arrangements are in place for Bahrain’s continental participation.
Mr Abdul Ghaffar welcomed members of the administrative and media teams and conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Mr Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, commending their efforts during the previous phase.
During the meeting, Mr Abdul Ghaffar reviewed the latest updates on travel arrangements. In coordination with the Olympic Council of Asia, all GCC delegations will depart on a special flight from Doha to Sanya on 15 April 2026, in light of current regional conditions. The Bahraini delegation is scheduled to travel to Doha on 14 April.
Bahrain will compete in four sports: beach handball, 3x3 basketball, beach wrestling and open water swimming. The meeting also covered competition schedules and travel itineraries for all delegation members, including administrators, athletes and coaches, with confirmation that all logistical and technical preparations have been finalised.
A dedicated coordination meeting with team administrators is scheduled for Monday, 6 April 2026, to ensure full alignment and provide a comprehensive briefing on all participation rules, regulations and procedures.
