Seef District – Bahrain Olympic Committee:

The Bahrain Olympic Committee took part in the Mission Directors' Meeting for the third GCC Beach Games, held in Muscat, Oman, on 27 February 2025.

The Committee was represented by Maryam Mardana, Head of the Arab and International Relations Department, alongside representatives from the GCC Olympic Committees and the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The meeting was held in preparation for the tournament’s launch, scheduled to take place from 5 to 11 April 2025.

The meeting agenda commenced with a welcoming address by His Excellency Mr Taha Bin Suleiman AL KISHRY, Secretary General of the Oman Olympic Committee and Director-General of the Tournament. This was followed by a comprehensive presentation covering details of the competition, including the sports disciplines, competition venues, and accommodation arrangements. The session also provided an opportunity for mission directors and Olympic Committee representatives to raise inquiries and receive clarifications regarding the event.

As part of the programme, attendees participated in a field visit to the tournament’s competition venues and accommodation facilities, followed by a guided tour of key tourist attractions in Muscat.

Notably, the GCC Beach Games will feature eight sports disciplines, namely beach soccer, beach handball, beach volleyball, air sports, beach athletics, sailing, long-distance swimming, and tent pegging.
