His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, received His Excellency Dr. Tariq Hamad Al-Jalahma, Minister of State for Youth and Sports of the sisterly State of Kuwait, in the presence of Bahrain Olympic Committee Board Member Mr. Waleed Al-Alawi and Bahrain Basketball Association Vice President Mr. Nader Al-Awadhi.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa welcomed His Excellency Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma and conveyed to him the greetings of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

His Highness highlighted the deep-rooted and longstanding fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, praising the continued growth and development of bilateral ties across various fields, including the youth and sports sectors.

His Highness emphasised the importance of further strengthening cooperation and facilitating the exchange of expertise and experiences between the two brotherly countries in the field of sport. He noted that such cooperation would contribute to advancing the sporting movement and supporting initiatives and programmes aimed at empowering young people and developing their capabilities.

His Highness also commended Kuwait’s distinguished sporting legacy and its prominent presence at both GCC and Arab levels.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of matters of mutual interest and explored ways to further enhance sporting cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, in a manner that serves the aspirations of both countries and further strengthens the fraternal bonds between them.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Hamad Al-Jalahma expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa for the warm reception and hospitality. He affirmed his pride in the close fraternal relations between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain and wished Bahraini sport continued progress, success, and prosperity.
