Seef District – Bahrain Olympic Committee:
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, visited the national handball team’s training camp to assess their final preparations for participating in the Arab Handball Cup.
During the visit, His Highness reviewed the team's readiness for the upcoming competition, which will take place in Kuwait from May 5-11, 2025. Members of the Federation's Board of Directors attended the visit. His Highness conveyed the greetings of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, to the players, wishing them success and a distinguished performance in the tournament.
His Highness also took the opportunity to meet with the technical and administrative staff, as well as the national team players, to discuss the final stages of their preparations.
Praising the coaching staff's efforts and the players' positive spirit, His Highness expressed his full confidence in the team’s ability to perform at a level that reflects Bahrain’s sporting excellence and the prominence of Bahraini handball in the Arab world.
“Our visit today underscores our unwavering support for the national team as they embark on this important Arab journey. We have complete faith in the technical staff and players, and we believe in their potential to achieve strong results and compete for the title. Bahraini handball has consistently proven its excellence at regional levels, and we are excited to see it shine again in the Arab Cup,” His Highness stated.
His Highness reaffirmed the Bahrain Olympic Committee's commitment to supporting the team in achieving outstanding results, bringing pride to Bahrain, and raising the country’s profile in the world of sports. He wished the team a successful journey and a rewarding experience in the tournament.
It is worth noting that the national team is placed in Group (1), alongside Egypt and Iraq. Bahrain’s opening match will be against Iraq on Monday, May 5, at 3:00 PM, followed by a match against Egypt on Wednesday, May 7, at 5:00 PM.
