Jamali: Transport Committee Finalises Preparations for the International School Games

Dr Nader Jamali, Chairman of the Transport Committee for the International School Games (Bahrain 2024), confirmed that the committee has completed all necessary preparations for a seamless transportation system throughout the tournament, which starts on 22 October. To ensure smooth logistics, coordination meetings were held with the Ministry of Interior, the General Traffic Directorate, and a private transport company. Dedicated transport stations in the Juffair and Seef areas will serve delegations, with specific schedules for large buses to ensure efficient travel between event locations.

Jamali emphasised that the Seef area will be the central hub, with special routes planned to reduce congestion in collaboration with the General Traffic Directorate. Identification cards will streamline entry and exit from stations, and volunteers and the working team have been trained on the procedures.

Jamali also revealed an integrated transport plan, which includes fixed schedules and monitoring teams to ensure smooth operations. A final committee meeting will fine-tune the public transport plan. All safety standards have been met to ensure easy use for participants, providing a distinguished, safe experience from airport transfers to hotel transportation.
