Seef District – Bahrain Olympic Committee:
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the 3rd Asian Youth Games, attended the coordination meeting held by the Executive Committee of the Games with the national sports federations. The meeting took place on Monday, 8 September 2025, at the InterContinental Bahrain, in the presence of Mr Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Mr Yusuf Duaij, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and a number of distinguished heads and representatives of the national federations.
The session opened with a speech by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, in which he conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, to the federations.
His Highness stressed that hosting this major continental event for the first time represents both a national responsibility and a historic opportunity to showcase Bahrain’s bright image on the Asian sporting stage. He underlined the need for collective effort and close collaboration to ensure success not only in organisational aspects but also through the honourable participation of Team Bahrain athletes, delivering strong performances and positive results.
He further noted that the purpose of the meeting was to review the latest preparations of each federation and to confirm the readiness of the national teams from all perspectives, expressing his confidence that they will represent the Kingdom with distinction.
For his part, Mr Yusuf Duaij emphasised that the Organising Committee has made significant progress in its preparations, highlighting the confidence placed in Bahrain’s athletes to embody discipline, sportsmanship, and national values on the international stage.
He affirmed that the Executive Committee, in cooperation with the General Sports Authority, the Bahrain Olympic Committee, various government ministries, agencies, and private sector institutions, will continue to extend all forms of support to ensure the success of the Games.
The meeting concluded with presentations from each national federation outlining their preparations and contributions to the organisation of the Games.
