His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Head of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation participating in the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026, attended a reception hosted by the Saudi delegation in Nagoya on Tuesday, 23 September 2026, in celebration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s National Day.

The reception was attended by His Excellency Shaikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia and President of the Qatar Olympic Committee; His Highness Prince Fahad bin Jalawi Al Saud, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee; as well as a number of sports officials and leaders, and heads and members of delegations participating in the Asian Games. The occasion reflected the deep fraternal ties that unite the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on their National Day, wishing the Kingdom and its people continued progress and prosperity.

His Highness said: “We are delighted to join our brothers and sisters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in celebrating this cherished national occasion, which provides an opportunity to reflect on the Kingdom’s remarkable journey of achievement and the development it continues to witness across various fields.”

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa affirmed that Bahraini-Saudi relations are founded on deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties, highlighting the close bonds between the two countries and their peoples across a wide range of fields, including sport.

He further stated: “We wish the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continued progress and prosperity, and further achievements and successes in the years ahead. We extend our best wishes to the Kingdom and its brotherly people for continued pride, prosperity and wellbeing.”
