The administrative delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the 3rd Asian Youth Games held its first coordination meeting at the Bahrain Olympic Committee headquarters, chaired by Mr Ahmed Mohammed Abdul Gghaffar, Head of Delegation, and attended by Deputy Head Mr Abbas Bouhassan.
Mr Abdul Ghaffar began by congratulating the members on their selection as part of Bahrain’s official delegation to the Games, which will take place from 22 to 31 October 2025. He conveyed the greetings of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Secretary General, His Excellency Mr Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, and stressed the importance of early preparation to ensure optimal participation in this continental event.
He highlighted that the delegation's mission is to provide all necessary support and resources to Bahrain’s national teams competing in 24 sports across both genders. This includes ensuring the technical, administrative, and medical teams have everything required to motivate athletes and help them deliver outstanding performances, contributing to Bahrain’s standing on the Asian sporting stage and its position in the overall youth medal rankings.
Mr Abdul Ghaffar noted that the meeting would also include detailed discussions regarding the distribution of administrators across participating federations, accommodation, transportation, logistical needs, and official delegation registration. A follow-up meeting with national sports federations will also be held to clarify all aspects of Bahrain’s participation.
He concluded by emphasising the need for collective effort and enhanced coordination to ensure the success of Bahrain’s representation at the Games.
