The Bahrain Olympic Committee participated in the meeting of mission directors for the 19th Asian Games (Hangzhou 2023), which was held on April 25 and 26 in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, with a delegation that included the Director of the Technical Affairs Department, Maden Lounes, and the specialist in Arab and international relations, Hassan Abdul Rahim. During the meeting, many topics were reviewed, including the number of sports, registration to participate in each game, anti-doping, competitions and training grounds, accreditation cards (the deadline for submission of applications is May 20), the athletes’ village and other villages, housing, food, transportation, shipping and logistics. The Organizing Committee also arranged field tours for the administrative missions of the Olympic Committees to various sports facilities and stadiums, such as the Olympic Village, the Media Village and many other facilities. With about 151 days remaining before the start of the Games, China's preparations have entered their final stages, in light of the communication between the Organizing Committee, the National Olympic Committees and the Olympic Council of Asia. The 19th Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou from September 23 to October 8, and will include competitions in 40 sports (61 disciplines, 483 events), and there will be 54 competition facilities, 31 of them for training, as well as a main games village and 5 subsidiary villages across Zhejiang Province. This will be the third time that China will host these games after Beijing 1990 and Guangzhou 2010.
