Hessa Bint Khaled Checks Al Ahli Women's Athletic Team's Preparations for Arab Club Games in Sharjah

Seef District - Bahrain Olympic Committee:

Her Excellency Shaikha Dr Hessa bint Khaled Al Khalifa, Member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Committee for Genders, paid a visit to the Al Ahli Women's Athletics Club team. The team is currently training at the Bahrain National Stadium in preparation for the upcoming Women's Arab Club Games scheduled to take place in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, from February 2 to February 12.

Her Excellency was accompanied by a team of officials, including Fajr Jassim, who serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Olympic Committee and as the Head of the Arab and International Relations Department, Salama Ateeq, who is leading the delegation, Wafaa Al-Jazzaf, the Deputy Head of the Delegation, as well as several members of the administrative delegation, along with the team's technical and administrative staff.

During her visit, Her Excellency Shaikha Dr Hessa bint Khaled Al Khalifa observed the team's training sessions and was briefed on the various stages of preparation. She gauged the team's readiness for the Arab Club Games, emphasizing the significance of sports in the tournament and expressing confidence in the capabilities of the Bahraini athletes to secure top medals, thus enhancing the Kingdom's standing in the overall medal table.

Her Excellency commended the dedicated efforts of the Bahrain Athletics Federation and the effective role played by the technical and administrative staff in ensuring the team's thorough preparation. She lauded the Federation's rich legacy of achievements on the Arab, regional, continental, and global levels, which augurs our team's prospects well. Her Excellency extended her best wishes to the players for continued success and luck in the upcoming competition.
