?Bahrain Olympic Academy director Nabeel Taha was presented with a special award for his recently-obtained positive psychology PhD degree, at the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) staff annual gathering held recently at the Regency Hotel in Manama.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports deputy general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary Abdulrahman Askar presented a special award to Taha in appreciation to his academic achievement and contributions to sports development in the Kingdom.
Askar also congratulated the academy, which is under the BOC umbrella, on Taha’s graduation, which made him the first regional instructor with such a rich academic qualification and experience as a player, coach, instructor and administrator who honored Bahrain at various overseas gatherings to become a model in both scientific and sports fields.
“The Bahrain Olympic Committee is extremely proud of its national cadres who strive to obtain science and knowledge to further boost sports outputs in Bahrain,” said Askar.
“This will certainly have a very positive outcome on sports movement in Bahrain on both the technical and administrative levels, specially the field of positive psychology, which is one of the modern sciences that target the development of athletes performance”.
On his part, Taha expressed gratitude to Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for continuously supporting the Bahrain athletes in their respective sports and playing a major part in the achievements.
Taha also thanked the BOC general secretary for his significant contributions to him obtaining this advanced scientific degree, and vowed to continue his search for knowledge and maintain the hard work to further boost sports domestically and internationally.
