?The Sports Training and Development Section, which is under the umbrella of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, has announced its calendar for 2014, which includes a number of courses, seminars and other programmes.
The plan aims to develop the administrative and technical cadres within national clubs and sports associations, as well as athletes affiliated to the Public Security Sports Federation at the Interior Ministry and Education Ministry’s physical education teachers.
More than 30 varied courses have been lined up for the new year, the first of which is a week-long National Coaching Programme Level 1 Course, scheduled to begin on January 5 and is organised in cooperation with the Coaching Association of Canada.
Courses organised in cooperation with the Education Ministry are due to take place from January 19 to 23, while the third edition of the sports management programme, organised as per an agreement with the World Academy of Sport, will be held from January 26 to 30.
In February, the section is organizing its Level 2 course as part of the National Coaching Programme from February 1 to 15, in addition to a coaches workshop on January 16 and 17, to be followed by strategic planning course for the Interior Ministry representatives from February 24 to 26.
The section will launch a training workshop for the national coaching programme from March 2 to 13, to be followed by a level 4 national coaching programme courses (long term planning) from March 15 to 25.
During April, the section will organize the another workshop for coaches on April 1 and 2, then stages the administrative management course from April 6 to 10, then the second part of the same course from April 13 to 17. The national coaching programme level 4 course will then take place from April 20 to 31.
The sports management course then kicks off from May 4 to 8, then the events management course takes place from May 11 to 15, in addition to the movement analysis course (Dartfish) from May 18 to 22.
