Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee President issued a decision forming the organizing committee of the 2019 Bahrain Sports Day.
The decree stated that after reviewing the regulations of sports federations social and cultural clubs as well as private bodies in the field of youth and sports, and private institutions issued by legislative decree No. 21 of 1989 and its amendments, the organizing committee has been announced and its headed by BOC Secretary General Abdulrahman Askar, assistant general secretary of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
The organizing committee also includes representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Education Ministry, Interior Ministry, Health Ministry, Bahrain Defence Force, Information Affairs Ministry, Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, Ministry of Labor and Social Development, institutions for people with special needs, a delegate from the University of Bahrain and a delegate from each of the four governorates.
It also includes BOC representatives – executive director of sports affairs Abduljalil Asad, projects director Lounes Madene, Arab and International Affairs director Fajer Jassim, Yaqoub Abdulmohsin of Financial Directorate.
