The first publication, themed ‘Bahrain Sports for a Better Life’, is a long-term planning guide aimed to develop the athletes and physical literacy. It is a trend that aims to develop the quality of physical and sports activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It also links between education, recreation, health, and long range planning. It is a multi-phase project dedicated for individuals to boost their sports and physical activity expertise from early childhood stage.
The second booklet, titled ‘an Introduction to physical literacy’, aims to promote motivation and confidence, physical efficiency, knowledge and understanding of the value of engaging in physical activities.
It also seeks to acquire the skills and confidence that helps individuals enjoy physical activities in various sports.
The publication focuses on the importance of physical literacy in developing academic excellence, knowledge skills, mental and psychological health, social skills, healthy habits, physical fitness and health.
It offers the necessary steps for both sexes for the growth and maturity of the body since birth until the advanced stages.
The committee will distribute both booklets to all sports bodies, ministries, universities and relevant authorities to benefit from its content.
