?Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar congratulated the kingdom’s leadership on the occasion of HM King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council of Youth and Sports Chairman and committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on winning second place at the International Triathlon Union (ITU) held in Abu Dhabi recently.
Askar considered the feat a coronation for Bahrain and all of its athletes added to the series of accomplishments in various sports arenas, especially in the triathlon championships that reflected the leadership’s patronage and encouragement of the sports movement and all Bahraini sportspeople who oftentimes succeeded in hoisting the national flag at various international functions.
The BOC general secretary commended the accomplishments of the Bahraini team and the National Guard team who capably and persistently participated in the ITU’s championship, wishing them more successes in upcoming sports events.
