A qualifying course in professional sport system, organized by the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees’ Arab Sport Pioneers Association, will tip off this weekend at S Hotel in Seef area with a group of elite Arab instructors in the fray.
Supported by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), this week-long course is due to take place between September 16 and 22, and is organized for the fourth consecutive year.
BOC sports affairs executive director and chairman of the preparatory committee of the course Abduljalil Asad said the BOC has sent invitations to national clubs and sports federations in the Arab world to sign up through the following email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Asad said that having this particular event staged in Bahrain is in line with the strategy of the BOC, aimed to strengthen its partnership with different sports organisations and institutions inside and outside the kingdom. He noted that professionalism in sport is one of the most significant topics in the world of sport for being one of the main pillars to develop the foundation of sport in the Arab countries.
Asad added that the committee will spare no effort to provide all necessary needs to ensure the success of this gathering on home soil and bring up important recommendations to further improve Arab sports.
