A representative from the Premier League in England arrived in Bahrain yesterday (February 8) to conduct a three-day scoping visit, which will look into the viability of establishing a community-based sports project in Bahrain.
Tim Vine, Head of Public Affairs at the Premier League, will be meeting with representatives from the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the General Organization for Youth and Sports, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, key Ministries, the British Embassy, the Bahrain Football Association and the four Governorates.
The Premier League and its clubs, who deliver one of the largest community and grassroots sport programmes of any professional sports body, both in the UK and in 25 countries around the world, are offering their experience around the successful implementation of this project.
One of the key objectives will be to create a strong multi-agency network within Bahrain where positive youth engagement sits at the forefront.
