The BOC is accredited by WADA as the National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Bahrain-NADO comprises the Bahrain National Anti-Doping Committee and its seven Sub-Committees; and the Anti-Doping Department, which handles day-to-day anti-doping activities.
Established in May 2005, this high-level committee governs and oversees the anti-doping roles, responsibilities and activities of the Bahrain-NADO.
Vision
To create a competitive sports environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain that is free from doping, in line with the highest international standards, and the requirements of WADA.
Mission
To preserve the concepts and values of competition and fair sports performance in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and protect the freedom of sport from the dangers of using drugs and prohibited substances; through implementing the provisions stipulated in the WADA World Anti-Doping Code, as enforced by the UNESCO Convention.
