The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar congratulated Muharraq Club football team on winning the King Cup football championship at the National Stadium on Thursday.
Muharraq defeated Riffa Club 3-1 in the final match attended by Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and BOC President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Askar commended the Muharraq Club high technical level that qualified them clinching the title.
He expressed appreciation of the notable efforts of Muharraq Club Board Chairman, wishing Muharraq Club more achievements to follow.
The BOC general secretary also lauded the efforts made by Bahrain Football Association, led by president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa in organizing the prestigious competition.
