Seef – Bahrain Olympic Committee

The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) has started sending out invitations for the 56th ICHPER.SD Anniversary World Congress and Exposition later this year.
The three-day international gathering is scheduled to take place from December 18 to 20 and is organized by the BOC in cooperation with the International Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (ICHPER.SD).
Invitations were sent to all ministries,  private universities and all relevant organisations that are interested in scientific research from inside and outside the kingdom of Bahrain.
The Executive Committee, being headed by BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, has recently completed the final steps to prepare the official website of the congress, which is scheduled to be launched soon.
The committee also includes BOC board member Dr Khalid Al Alawi,  IT Director Nawaf Abdulrahman, Media Committee head Mohammed Lori, Public Relations head Fajer Jassim, Financial Committee head Hamad Buhijji and congress coordinator Dalal Salama.
This congress, which will focus on the theme ‘Towards building a new sports system’,  will see around 800 officials from 120 countries from all over the world take part in discussions on several significant scientific research papers that are linked to health, sports, physical education and recreation.
The participating countries will present these subjects in the area of their respective countries and citizens involvement and engagements of physical activities for physical fitness purpose of the people,” added Yang.
The main theme of the conference embraces the Olympic movement and the academic field of concern and scientific aspects of sports and social development, sports marketing and sponsorship issues.
Some of the objectives of the congress is to promote active lifestyle and how important it is related to personal, physical and mental health, and to promote general physical activities in this country.
