?Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar received at his office in Seef members of the Bahrain gymnastics team after taking part at the recently-concluded 12th QGCC Championship in Doha.
The team delegation, headed by Bahrain Gymnastics Federation member Nader Jamali, took 25 medals – seven of which were won by junior athlete Abdulla Nayef.
Askar congratulated members of the team on their results at this regional competition and conveyed the greetings of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council of Youth and Sports Chairman and BOC President.
The BOC general secretary commended the performance of the Bahraini gymnasts and also noted the efforts of the administrative team and their contributions to the achievement.
On his part, Bahrain Gymnastics Federation president Dr Khalid Al Alawi thanked the committee for supporting the federation and expressed pride for the impressive results achieved by the team at the championship.
