?Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar said the committee is putting its final touches on the digital sports library project, which is expected to be launched soon.
Askar said the project is in compliance to the directives of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President, to shift to the more advanced digital technology for all its future operations.
This first-of-its-kind idea, which is supervised by BOC’s Information Technology director Nawaf Abdulrahman in cooperation with the sports training and development section, is regarded as one of the most anticipating projects, aimed to link science with sports.
Among other objectives of this project is to qualify sports officials in administrative and technical areas by providing a variety of scientific resources that adds to the expertise of relevant personnel.
