??Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary Abdulrahman Askar received at his office in Seef three students from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom, who are in Bahrain to attend a training course at the committee’s National Sports Medicine Centre.
Amir Khan, Idris Ali and Mohammed Jaleel arrived in Bahrain earlier in the week for this three-week course, which is a complementary to their graduation requirements in their last academic year, and reflects the good reputation of the centre at the regional and international level.
The trio Briton had beneficial discussions with Askar, in the presence of physiotherapy specialists Rami Al Murbati and Dennis Dodin from the National Sports Medicine Centre.
Askar welcomed the visitors and emphasized the importance of this first-of-its-kind visit by a group of young students to Bahrain and to the centre, featuring medical staff of high standards.
He also expressed pleasure for the initiative to boost cooperation with Bradford University, and noted that the Bahrain Olympic Committee is keen to support the National Sports Medicine Centre to become a favorite destination for all athletes in Bahrain.
He added that the Bahrain Olympic Committee is seeking to upgrade the medical services provided by the center by bringing the best talent and the latest medical therapeutic equipment in order to promote its services and live up to its expectations.
On their part, the students expressed thanks and appreciation to the Bahrain Olympic Committee for the warm reception and hospitality, and showed satisfaction for the the progress of the training course and expressed their admiration of the featured content and medical equipment.
