?The Bahrain Olympic Committee will be hosting a promotional campaign for the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Award for Woman Athletes on the first week of next month.
This three-day campaign will be led by Khawla Al Muhairi, the general coordinator of the award, and includes media personnel Nada Al Shaibani and Maryam Al Rifai.
A purpose-formed standing committee, formed by the BOC, is being headed by Media and Public Relations Director Mohammed Lori and is tasked at setting up a special programme to promote the award.
The programme includes a number of visits to relevant officials, in addition to several meeting with Bahraini athletes, coaches, administrators and media personnel.
The committee is scheduled to hold a coordination meeting attended by BOC board member and chairwoman of the Women’s Sports Committee Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, to discuss the updates of this visit and look into all the requirements in preparation for the delegation reception in October.
It’s worth noting that the Organizing Committee of the award, headed by chairwoman of the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza Al Nahyan, has launched the second edition of the award at a press conference, followed by a number of field visits to a group of Arab countries in order to introduce and promote the event.
