September 11, 20192

?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) will be organizing a special event on Saturday (August 20) to mark the World Humanitarian Day.
The World Humanitarian Day is a day dedicated to recognize humanitarian personnel and those who have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes.
It is an annual occasion to honour the humanitarian workers and volunteers toiling on the frontlines of crises and also a reminder of the need to act to alleviate the suffering.
A programme has been planned for this day-long activity, due to commence at 5pm with a 2-km walkathon at Shaikh Isa Sports City’s Sports Hall area.
This walkathon, organized in cooperation with the Bahrain Roadrunners, will carry the theme “Sporting Spirit for Humanity”.
Invitations were sent out to all representatives of sports in Bahrain, including national sports federations, to take part in the event.
The walkathon will be open to men and women of all ages. Prizes have been allocated on this occasion and are donated by Anod Group.
