?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) has stepped up its preparations to hold the closing ceremony of Nasser bin Hamad Scientific Research Award in the field of sports.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday (Jan. 20) at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation Gym at Isa Sports City in Riffa.
A packed programme was recently approved by the BOC and will focus on the scientific and sports values of the award and reflects its importance in the development of the sports movement in the Kingdom.
The ceremony will feature a number of programmes like an entertaining show, a word by the organizing committee, a short film on the award and honouring the winners and sponsors.
Also during the function, the official website of the award will be launched as it will become a reference for researchers and those interested in the future editions of the award.
It is noteworthy that the Nasser bin Hamad Scientific Research Award in the field of sports, which include sports management, training and medicine ,aims to promote positive attitudes towards scientific research to create knowledge and contribute to the development of the sports movement.
It also pays tribute to people with excellence in scientific research among citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain and honor them, spreading the spirit of fair competition among distinguished researchers in the field of sports to contribute to the development of sports movement and conduct scientific researches in line with the needs of the sports community.
The winner will receive a certificate of appreciation signed by event patron and Chairman of the Award Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president.
