?The Bahrain Olympic Committee signed an agreement with specialized orthopedic surgeon Dr. Klemen Strazar in an attempt to provide top-of-the-line medical treatment for the public.
Dr Strazar has now joined a highly-qualified team of surgeons to conduct regular visits to its dedicated National Sports Medicine Centre, including famous Finnish surgeon Jussie Rantanen, who performed a number of medical check-ups and surgeries for athletic and non-athletic patients alike.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports deputy general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar signed the deal with Mr Jani Lotric, president and found of Diplomatic Protocol, which provides diplomatic, medical and VVIP services.
The agreement-signing ceremony took place at the committee premises in Seef, in the presence of National Sports Medicine Centre director Dr Khalid Al Shaikh.
In an official statement, Askar said he was pleased for this initiative, which aims to provide modern medical services by the centre, as per directives of representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
As for Mr Lotric, who deputized for Dr Strazar at the signing ceremony, shared the same thoughts for this partnership and hoped that the Slovenian surgeon’s experience would highly contribute to developing the services provided by the centre.
