?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) recently signed two protocol agreements with its Jordanian and Palestinian counterparts.
These agreements were in line with the directives of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in an attempt to boost joint ties and promote the overall standard in the field of sport.
Both protocols were signed by BOC acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar during his meetings with Jordanian and Palestinian National Olympic Committees representatives at the BOC premises in Seef.
Signing the agreement from the Jordanian Olympic Committee (JOC) was their general secretary Lana Al Jaghbeer, while general secretary Mazen Al Khatib was on hand to sign from the Palestinian Olympic Committee (POC).
The JOC agreement stipulates the exchange of researches, studies and publishing, in addition to exchange of visits to look at the expertise of each other in all fields of sport action, in general, and the Olympic fields, in specific.
It also calls on coordinating stances and points of views during meetings and conference, especially at the Arab, regional, continental and international levels.
Exchanging information in the field of sports facilities management as we as benefiting from the support offered by both sides in regards to the construction of facilities, gears and sports equipment.
As for the POC agreement, it includes the exchange of setting up sports camps between the two countries and taking advantage of their expertise in the field of sports medicine by sending athletes for treatment to take advantage of the laboratories and physical therapy centers.
Sending sports-specialized technical and administrative representatives, and participating in studies and conferences held in both nations in accordance to the programs and disciplines agreed on, and coordinating stances between the two sides at the Olympic and international levels.
Both the Bahraini and Palestinian parties also decided to form a joint working team to conduct the protocol and study other aspects of cooperation. This protocol applies for two years from the date of signature.
