?The Bahrain Olympic Committee has sent out invitation to various sports federation, universities, the education ministry and media information ministry and all other relevant parties for the upcoming visit of a delegation from the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Award for Woman Athletes promotional campaign later this month.
The BOC is scheduled to host the UAE delegation from October 12 to 14. This three-day campaign will be led by Khawla Al Muhairi, the general coordinator of the award, and includes media personnel Nada Al Shaibani and Maryam Al Rifai.
The award aims to motivate women to further develop her abilities and skills in the different fields of sports, in an attempt to accomplish various achievements.
It also seeks to boost the disabled women to join different types of sports, in addition to highlighting the Arab women’s achievements in the field of sports to compete on the national and international levels.
The award was divided into individual and corporation parts, with each section featuring of different subjects. The organizing committee has allocated more than BD140,000 total prizes for this award.
The programme of the UAE delegation’s visit includes several of visits to relevant officials, in addition to several meeting with Bahraini athletes, coaches, administrators and media personnel.
The Organizing Committee of the award is headed by chairwoman of the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza Al Nahyan.
