The official delegation to the 17th Asian Games held in Incheon in South Korea from September 19 to October 4, had a coordinating meeting with representatives of the national sports associations recently to evaluate the results of the sports teams at the games.
Bahrain had won 19 medals in total during the two-week event, including a record nine gold, six silver and four bronze.
Technical Director Lounes Madene said the main purpose of this meeting was to look into the sports teams outcome at the game and avoid the disadvantages in the future editions, the first of which will be the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.
The meeting also features a question session, which saw significant interaction from all the attendees, including by chef de mission Fajer Jassim, chef de mission deputy Dr Nader Al Jammali, Technical Directorate specialist Fadi Humaidan and administrator Hamad Al Baker.
Also present at the meeting were representatives of six national sports associations, namely athletics, sailing, table tennis, shooting, triathlon and cycling.
