?Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) technical director Lounes Madene had a meeting with heads and deputy heads of the Bahrain delegations competing in a number of major international sports events later this year.
The kingdom will first compete in the Second Youth Olympic Games, scheduled to take place in Nanjing, in China, from August 16 to 28.
They then head to Incheon, in South Korea for the 17th Asian Games, to be held from September 19 to October 4.
Late on, Bahrain will travel to Doha for the Second GCC Beach Games from October 20 to 26, while their fourth and last appearance will be at the Fourth Asian Beach Games in Phuket, in Thailand from November 14 to 21.
During the meeting, held at the BOC premises in Seef, Madene said the Technical Directorate – and in line with the directives of the committee acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, decided to continue holding these regular meetings to look into their preparations and readiness for the upcoming events.
Madene noted that the directorate will be preparing a special form to know all the needs and requirements of the delegations heads, while a special booklet containing their duties will be printed and distributed in order to help them do their tasks fully.
Madene asserted the need to communicate with the sports federations taking part in thee sports events in order to submit the lists of players and get to know their needs and requirements and end all other procedures.
He noted that the lists of the current players are preliminary and will be approved later by the BOC board of directors.

Heads of the Bahrain delegations include Fahad Al Khathlan (2nd Youth Olympic Games), Hamad Buhiji (2nd GCC Beach Games) and Mohammed Al Ghunaim (4th Asian Beach Games).
Their deputies are BOC International Affairs executive coordinator Mohammed Al Zayed (GCC Beach Games), Corporate Communication executive coordinator Fajer Jassim (17th Asian Games) and Maryam Mardana (Youth Olympics).
