?Bahrain has completed its participation at the 17th Asian Games in 12th place overall out of 46 countries in the medal standings.
The kingdom achieved 19 medals in total, including 9 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze. 
China topped the overall standings with 324 medals, including 142 gold. They were followed by South Korea who came second with 216 medals, including 73 gold medals, while Japan were third with 187 medals, including 46 gold. 
Bahrain’s overall finish is regarded as a distinctive achievement taking into account the number of inhabitants compared to some other Asian countries with much larger populations.
