?Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary general Mohammed Al Nusuf has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, on Bahrain’s national athletics team win at the 23rd Asian Athletics Championship.
In the championship, which was recently concluded in Doha, Qatar, Bahrain’s athletes put in a remarkable performance won 22 medals, including 11 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Al Nusuf also congratulated Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Charity and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, the West Asian Athletics Federation and Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA).
The BOC secretary general commended the performance of the Bahraini athletes that played a major part in this honorable achievement. He also attributed the outcome to the contributions of the BAA board, which spared no efforts in their dedication to fulfil their aspirations for this competition.
Al Nusuf affirmed that the BOC would provide all means of support to athletics in Bahrain in order to maintain this impressive run of successes in the future.
