?The Arab Sports Press Association recently honoured Bahrain Olympic Committee’s Media and Archive Director and veteran sports journalist Mohammed Lori during a gala celebration held at the Abu Dhabi Sports Club.
The ceremony was held during the seventh anniversary of the Arab sport press festival, organised in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Sports Media Committee in the UAE.
It was patronized by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmood, vice-president of the General Authority for Youth and Sports and general secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in the presence of General Authority for Youth and Sports general secretary Ebrahim Abdulmalik.
On this occasion, Lori expressed pride for being the only Bahraini honoured at this festival, which he considered a tribute to the sports press in general in Bahrain, and commended this gesture by the federation which reflects their support to the first generation of pioneers and is also a booster for the present generation of journalists.
Lori, who is also head of the Bahrain Sports Media Committee, was one of several Arab press personnel from 20 countries, who were honoured on this occasion.
Other press representatives came from Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Kuwait, Qatar, Tunisia, Algeria, Yemen, Jordan, Libya, Mauritania, Comoros Islands, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Oman and the UAE.
