Uncategorised11 Shooters set for Arab Women’s Sports Tournament

?The Bahrain Shooting Club has recently finalized their preparations for the second edition of the Arab Women’s Sports Tournament. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Sharjah for the second successive time from February 2 to 12.
The team consists of 11 members, namely Lubna Abdulaziz,  Sabeeka Mubarak, Aseel Mohammed, Sara Al Dossary, Lulua Ashoor, Maryam Anbar, Sameera Abduljalil, Mouza Abdulrahim, Hilala Saad, Sara Yousef and Latifa Al Najem.
Bahrain’s delegation will be headed by administrator Khalid Abdulaziz, and comprises team manager Wael Al Miraj, administrator Alya Mohammed and four coaches.
General secretary of the Bahrain Shooting Association Dawood Al Manea, said the team had a training camp has recently returned from Al Ain, in the UAE where they had a training camp ahead of the tournament, in which they are scheduled to compete in pistol and air riffle events.
In addition to shooting, the Bahrainis are scheduled to compete in five different sporting disciplines in this tournament. They are volleyball, table tennis, shooting, fencing, basketball and athletics.
Al Ahli will spearhead Bahrain in the volleyball tournament, Bahrain Club in table tennis, Bahrain Fencing Club in fencing, Bahrain Shooting Club in shooting, while Muharraq is taking part in the basketball event.
Athletes from 14 Arab countries, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the UAE, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Sudan, Jordan and Iraq, will be fighting it out in this 11-day women’s tournament.
